Kate

Kate is our 21st foster pup, and might get the award for being our longest foster.  We got her (and her littermate Sidney) on April 10th.  She's had some interest, but so far has not had an approved app.  She's a good girl.  We go to weekly basic obedience classes, and she is doing well walking at my side on a leash, looking at me when I say "eyes", and will sit when I stop walking (usually, at least).

Basketball

The basketball season is in full swing again.  Most of J's playtime is on JV, but he does get a few varsity minutes as well.
Yesterday's game was in Watford City.  Phenomenal facility!!!  The Watford team even provided a hospitality room for families and players.

His first varsity points!

Track

Here are pics from the only track meet I was able to attend this year.  Every other one I was free to attend was cancelled due to weather or other conflict.  Jonathan had a fun track season.  He best times/jumps at the end of the season were:
200 m- 26.65
High Jump- 5'6" (team high, too)
Long Jump- 17' 0.5"
Triple Jump-36'10.5"

He placed in the High Jump at a few meets.  The jump pictured is clearing 5'6" for the first time.  His coach told him before this jump "Pretend you are going in for a dunk".

Swim Clinic

In Late April, Eric and Megan participated in a swim clinic, which was taught by 2 olympic swimmers I had never heard of.  The guy was a backstroker, like Eric, and the girl was a butterflyer, like Megan.  Even though I did not recognize either of their names, I did recall their events.

Marathon Weekend!

The Most Wonderful Weekend of the Year was last weekend in Fargo.  Eric and I were registered for the 10K.  Kathie and Maddie joined us as spectators.  The forecast was for a rainy, windy morning!
We wore ponchos on the walk to the dome from our hotel, but took them off before the run.  We got to the dome in time to watch the couple get married prior to the start of a marathon.  The story is, they met at mile 19 of an ultra marathon.
Despite the weather, or maybe because of the weather, this was the most fun 10k I have done!  I did not PR (didn't expect to), but it was my fastest Fargo 10K, and I beat my expected time by 5 minutes.  I did not feel well prepared for this race at all, so was very happy with how it went!  My first mile was my slowest, my last mile was my fastest, and the 4 miles in between were all within 3 seconds.
Eric just runs....so I don't know what his split breakdown is.  He finished under an hour, and just missed a PR  by a minute.  He beat his Latin teacher by 10 seconds, so he was happy.

This was my 10th consecutive year running/participating in the Fargo Marathon!
