Category 5, Minot, and Century

Busy weekend!  Megan had a swim meet in Bismarck Friday afternoon.  We chose to just do the Friday events, which is when her 100m Butterfly was offered.  She also did the 100 Back, her least favorite event, but the best option for her with the events offered.  She did not DQ!  First time listing a time.  She got a PR in the Fly by a smidgen, and took 6th place. 
When her meet was done, we boogied to Jonathan's basketball game against Minot.  It was a close game, and the Braves won by 4.
Saturday morning we were back at the pool for Eric's swim meet.  Don and Jonathan were timers.  Megan stayed home, and I was a spectator.  Eric was excited because he was on the "B" relay for the 200 IM relay instead of "C" or "D".

Jonathan played BHS this week.  They had a strong lead early, but BHS fought back and led in the closing seconds of the game.  Jayce sunk a 3 with just a few seconds left to give the team a 1 point win.  the boys are 5-1 on the season.

Fargo meets

Friday night's meet was at Fargo South.  Eric dropped time in both his events!

 Today's meet was at Davies.  His times were a tish slower than last night, but faster than his previous best times.  We only stayed through the 50 Free, as we wanted to get back to Mandan before it got dark.  Eric is in the bottom of this pic-the kid 2 lanes up is my good friend Heidi's son.
Eric is enjoying swimming!  It's a good group of kids on the team.

First off, Megan declined to take the Mostly Annual When I Remember To Give It To Her Birthday Quiz.
She turned 11 yesterday!  We celebrated with taking most of the day off from school to go to Fargo for the weekend.  We met Grandma Miller for lunch at Maddios, did some shopping, went to Eric's swim meet at Fargo South, had supper at Potbellies, then went swimming at the hotel, where we enjoyed some cupcakes from GiGi's. 
This morning, she had more swim time, then off to another swim meet.  (Full Disclosure...the trip was built up as a birthday trip, but it also was a swim meet trip for Eric). 
All in all a great weekend.  Aunt Amy and Macy joined us today.  We left the swim meet early and ate at Potbellies again for lunch.
