LaFleurs

We hosted some of the extended LaFleurs on Saturday. The younger cousins all had fun playing together, and the big kids had fun playing with the little kids' nerf weapons. Good times.

The Princess Party

Megan had her Princess Party on Saturday. Aside from the cousins on the Miller side, Princess Ava was in attendance. We had jambalaya, poor boy sandwiches, and fruit salad. Megan opened lots of princess gifts... a princess puzzle, a princess sleeping bag, a princess paper doll set, and a princess castle play tent. Uncle Jason sent her some $$$ to shop with-she said she will buy something pink and princessy with it.

Senators in Training

Today we were off of school and work. Since the legislature was still in session, we asked our district's Senator if the boys could sit on the floor with him and observe government in action. Senator Cook (who I also call Uncle Dwight) was happy to oblige. Both boys were very excited. Don described the whole 'how a bill becomes a law' (without needing to sing the School House Rock song). Dwight let them push the buttons for voting. It was a fun experience for them!

4

I love having someone else in the family get as excited as I do for birthdays! Megan had been counting down to her big day for weeks. Last night, we announced at every activity that it was the last time doing it as a 3 year old (this is your last time eating supper as a 3 year old...this is the last time brushing your teeth as a 3 yr old....). Jonathan, in his typical logical way reminded me that Megan turning 4 means she is one year closer to leaving home and growing up. Thanks. That's what I need to hear when by baby is turning 4.

The Big Event of ear piercing went off without a problem. We had yellow cake (lemon) with purple and pink sprinkles. She talked constantly today.
