Every summer....

Jonathan has a nasty wipe out on his bike.  This one happened just a few blocks from home.  He said his foot slipped off the pedal and he lost control.

These were taken a few hours post injury when I changed the bandages.  They looked  worse immediately post injury, but he wasn't in the mood for Mom to take pictures.  He has another abrasion on his upper left pec that I didn't take a pic of since it wasn't bloody.

Random pics

Michele was rebellious and snapped some pics of the kids with the turtles.
Megan and Emily.  Megs had her braids done on the ship.  She didn't leave them in very long-they were pretty tight.

 Grand Cayman Turtle Farm
 Random building in Mexico
 More of the Mayan ruins
 Grand Cayman coast line

This was as we were leaving Port Canaveral.  We thought the kids would want to go to the send off party at the pool deck, but they preferred to stay in our cabin on the veranda.

 Foosball on the sports deck.

 Mini golf

The humidity and my hair were not friends.  I don't think my hair felt completely dry once the whole vacation.

Animator's Palate

A big draw of the Fantasy is the Animator's Palate.  The decor of the restaurant is animation.  On your second night dining there, they pass out special placemats where you draw a picture.  They scan the pics, and then later during the meal, the drawings come to animated life on the many tv screens.  It was way cool.  Even the grown ups get to play.
Megan worked very hard to get pics with all of the characters.  All of these pics were on our dead phones.  We scrambled the last night to retake as many in as we could!

There was a send off party with the characters!  It made me teary eyed
Darn near 15 years of marriage
You had to draw your character within the blue lines

We were seated at table 11 for all of our evening meals
The white rectangular box on the left was labeled with our table number.  You also wrote your name is the box.

Sketches of animation were shown on the screens.  They also showed sketches of many characters in development, including various drafts of what each character would look like.

Our table did a "Shirley Temple" toast on our final night!  The girls and Eric ordered STs every night.  Our server always had an extra bowl of cherries for them.

Not the best pic, but this is a screen shot of some of the drawings from the placemats.

Our names were all listed on the credits under 'animators' for the video.
It was Aug 14th our final evening.  Don secretly set up a little early birthday surprise for me.  A group of waiters came to our table to sing Happy Birthday, and I got this yummy and amazing chocolate dessert.
Megan's dessert was a 'build your own cupcake"
This was my "Sweet Temptation" dessert that I had already ordered before getting my birthday dessert.  They were sample sized portions of the other desserts highlighted.  I ate everything.  All of it.  I did share a bite of my birthday dessert with the others at our table

The boys made some friends on the ship from the Middle East.  They can't remember which country they were from, or even really remember what their names were (they were harder to pronounce names).  They hope to connect with them through Xbox live.
These are our table mates, Bob, Michele, and Emily.  Emily is 9, and will be in 4th grade.  They are from Orange County, CA.  He is a 49ers fan.  She is a Packers fan.  Seriously????

The kids and our assistant server, Michelle.  He took good care of us.  This was taken the morning we left the ship.  Our head server had already left the ship, so we weren't able to get a pic of the kids with him.
