More soccer

It was a beautiful night at soccer practice Monday night. Megan was not happy to not be able to play on the field with her brothers. She did have a good time playing with the coach's little girl. Jonathan and Eric had fun as always

Park Rapids

We spent the weekend in Park Rapids to check out Grandma and Grandpa's new backyard landscape. Lots of room to roam now! We played a game of baseball on Saturday. Mommy hit 2 home runs out of the park. We also had fun playing Hyper Dash, Cosmic Catch, enjoyed a campfire and s'mores and had just plain good family fun with the cousins. Eric spent most of his time in the sandbox-big surprise. Megan spent most of her time in the swing, or "wheee" as she calls it.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Pumpkin Patch last night for a work party. I wasn't able to get many good pictures since the kids would not stop moving. The boys are not as thrilled with the pumpkin and photo op part of the Patch-they prefer the hay bale maze, and burned lots of energy on that. The boys got their faces painted. Eric got a tiger and Jonathan got a crossbow.

Slumber

Cooking with Megan

Megan got a new toy on Friday. She has had a jolly good time cooking meals for the entire family, or at least for Daddy.

Cheeeeeese

Megan has become a ham for the camera. This is her reaction every time she sees one pointed at her.

More Teeth

While it is not clearly visible from this picture, Megan has added two teeth to her collection this past week, bringing her dental total to 13.

Soccer

This morning we played the blue team. Jonathan was scared. They were a tough team at practice/scrimmage on Monday. They were bigger. Stronger. Faster. Perhaps the green team had met it's match. We did our best to tell the boys it's not about winning at this level, it's about learning the fundamentals of soccer. It was a fierce battle. Kids were running their hearts out. Feet were kicking anything that moved. Kids were crying. (Okay maybe just Jonathan when he hurt his knee-he made a full recovery). Eric left everything he had on the field. Don and I were considering adding a regimen of kiddie steroids to the boys' diet. At the end of the 45 minute game it was Blue Team 5, Green Team SIX! WE BEAT THE BLUE TEAM. GREEN TEAM ROCKS! WE WON! WE WON!

Jonathan's Collection

Jonathan killed a fly with the flyswatter today. He was kind enough to bring the dead fly to me and tell me he was going to add it to his collection. Hmmmmm, which collection is this, I am wondering. He informed me that he has a dead fly collection behind the couch to scare people away. I went to inspect.....the kid was speaking the truth. And, I was scared away.

Eric's Excitement

After bath tonight, I set up a movie for the boys. They got a popcorn ball after soccer today that they both started to eat. Pretty soon, Eric whimpered and said the popcorn ball made his tooth loose as he held up a tooth that had fallen out! (It was already pretty loose)

More Big Girl

Don put Megan on the potty chair before her bath tonight. There was a tinkle! We will spare you a picture of the end result, but we were pretty excited.

Big Girl

Megan has a new favorite hang out. I discovered her here this morning after she went MIA. She got her pajamas off by herself, and unrolled the toilet paper by herself.

Front Yard Fun

Had some fun in the front yard tonight. Eric mostly rode his bike and watched ants fleeing his reign of terror after destroying their hills, Jonathan played basketball, and Megan did it all, alternating back and forth to the brother that was pestering her the least.

Not much new to report. Here are some pictures of Megan finishing her brother's supper, her painting with water, and all 3 kids playing with those annoying party favors....
We are looking forward to the weekend and FOOTBALL!

Fall Fashion Show

Megan and Mommy played dress up today. I'm not sure who had more fun. She loves the camera, and loves twirling.

Zoo Party

We went to our cousin Carter's 6th birthday party at the zoo yesterday. It was a windy day, but we had a nice time. We rode the train, and visited the new Big Cat Complex. The highlight was the white tiger, that paced back and forth along the path of all the little children. All the kids loved it, except for Megan, who did not care to have the 500 # beast jump up and swat her face through the glass.
