Hanging out

We enjoyed a day to chill out on Sunday. Jonathan shot hoops. Eric created with sidewalk chalk, and Megan played in the sandbox.
Saturday we spent the day in Minot. We visited park #1 of our 2010 Playground Adventure-Oak Park. Sadly, the battery for my camera was drained, so there is no photographic proof of either.

Last Day of School!

We have completed another year. Look how much they have changed since the first day.
Okay, maybe they don't look all that different. But their brains are a lot smarter, there legs are a lot longer, and their teeth are fewer in number. Well, Eric actually has more teeth, since the ones he was missing have grown in.
Eric received a Perfect Attendance certificate. Jonathan received a Fitness Certificate. We made our traditional trip to Space Aliens for supper to celebrate the year. The Alien mascot came out to visit. Megan screamed. She really screamed. The Alien quickly left and did not return. I may have claw marks on my neck.

Marathon

These T-shirts cracked us up! Too bad they were $29....

This is my team. Kathie (on the right) did the first 6.2, I did the next 8.3, and Erin did the last 2 legs, which was 11.7.

This is our group from Bismarck! We had 3 teams. The gal next to Kathie in the front (her sister) was originally supposed to run the first leg of our team, but we realized at the last minute that she couldn't do both the half and the relay since the routes had changed. We also had a last minute sub on a different team, but she is not in the picture.

The community of Fargo put on an awesome race! There was lots of "good will" going on-we had to stand in the pouring rain to wait for our exchange shuttle. A gal in a Humvee let us wait with her. I couldn't find my shuttle after my race to get back to the Dome. Some young gals offered me a ride. Lots of people along the route to cheer, clap, ring cowbells, play music, and plenty of people had hoses/sprinklers to spray the runners to help keep them cool.
During my last 2 miles of my leg, I kept thinking that I am never doing this again, I will stick with 5Ks and 10Ks......five minutes after I was done I was thinking of signing up for the half in Bismarck this Fall.....

Tiger Cub Graduation

The boys were awarded their Bobcat Badges tonight, and officially graduated from Tiger Scouts to officially become Cub Scouts. It was a beautiful night for a picnic.

Fargo Marathon

This is the map of the marathon. My portion started at the upper right corner, and went all the way down the the bottom and then back up again a little ways. 8.3 miles. I started at Condordia College in Moorhead and finished at United Blood Services in south Fargo. Hopefully I will have some after pictures to share soon.

Six days

Six days left of school. The energy is high. Thursday is their inflatable day-those inflatable bouncy things will be set up at school, and each grade gets an hour to play on them.

The Fargo Marathon is Saturday. 2 of my relay-mates and I are leaving for Fargo Friday morning. Not sure what the weather will be like-I run my 6.2 miles last-hopefully it won't be too hot for me! I am drinking lots of water to keep hydrated

Bright Sunny Day

The sun is SHINING!!!!
I haven't taken many pictures lately-we've been cooped up inside because of the rain.
Today is the Band Night Parade. The boys and I are walking with the Scouts to celebrate 100 years of scouting. Park Rapids Grandma and Grandpa are coming out for the weekend. Soccer game tomorrow. Garden will be planted. Steaks will be grilled.

We are on the home stretch for school. We are done May 26th. Nine more days. We've got big plans for the summer. Sleeping in. Staying up late. Ice cream. Piano lessons. Tennis lessons. We are excited.
