Another swim meet

Eric had his first swim meet yesterday.  It was a double dual between Mandan, Fargo South, Willistion, and BHS.  He chose the 50 Free, and 100 back, and also did the backstroke of the 200 IM relay, and was the final leg fo the 400 Free relay.  He did awesome.  His times were competitive, even though he didn't place (there are rules about how many swimmers per team can place in each event)

Snowball '17

The boys had their winter formal tonight.  It's a Sadie Hawkins dance.  Both boys were asked by girls in band with them.  I knew Eric's date from his Krav Maga days.  She might be a black belt by now.

 That's better

Jaxon's girlfriend. She is  in percussion with Eric.

Christmas Tree

Hoops

It's back.  Basketball.  With no more traveling ball it has been 8 months since I've watched these boys play hoops.  They were little rusty initially, but pulled off a big win against their rivals.

swim meet #2.

Today was a Mandan hosted meet.  Megster was competing in the 200 free relay, 100 IM, 50 Free, 100 Fly (for the first time), and 100 free.  She took 2nd in the 100 Fly!

swim meet

First swim meet of the year last weekend in Minot!  Megan finally finished the 100 IM w/o being DQ.  She also finished each event with a personal best.  This year, she is going to focus on the free and the fly, as they are her favorites.

Thanksgiving

Boochie ball in the backyard.  68 degrees on Thanksgiving!
The boys preferred playing old style video games and pinball

Eric agreed to a post Turkey Trot picture, but refused a pre-race selfie with his Mom.  He did agree to a pre-race pic with Jess, though.
For all of the 5ks Eric has done, this was the first one that was chip times.
I still managed to get a pre-race selfie, with Eric unaware
Post!  All done.  Eric beat us all, and despite my PR, everyone beat me
