Delta Airlines

Darn Delta Airlines.....
The flight Don was on to leave San Antonio was delayed for over an hour. As a result, he did not make his connecting flight from MSP back to Bismarck. Guess we'll see him around lunch time tomorrow.

The week in review

Thursday 10/14-travel to Makoti after Supper to help out Missy. They split the twins into different rooms. Sam now sleeps in "my" room. How convenient....lucky I thrive on sleep deprivation.
Friday 10/15, 1:30 am....Sam woke me up
2:30 am....Sam woke me up
3:30 am....Sam woke me up
4:15 am....Sam woke me up....Decided he needed a bottle. He guzzled the bottle, then smiled and giggled and cuddled and made it known that he did not want to go back to sleep.
5:00 am....made myself a cup of coffee.
5:01 am....Sam gets mad that I am not giving him my sole attention. I let him cry until my coffee was properly creamed. I figure he owes me that much. Three more cups of coffee were consumed throughout the day.
5:05 am-4:59 pm....change diapers, feed babies, change more diapers, feed babies again, do dishes, sweep floor, change diapers, feed babies, repeat cycle
5:00 pm...give hugs the Sam, Jack, Josie, and Missy and head out to Camp of the Cross for my scrap retreat.
Sat 10/16 1:00 am....go to bed...happy I was not the first lady to call it a night, especially since I have been up for 21 hours
7:30 am....wake up. Wonder how long it has been since I have slept past 7 am. Scrapbook all day long with a great group of ladies.
6:30 pm...Sadly leave Camp of the Cross earlier that I want to, but Don leaves for TX in the am.
Sunday....uneventful day. Vikings win, Steelers win, I think the Rams win...Packers lose
Monday....scramble to unexpectedly get out the door by 7:45 am to get Eric to orthodontist to fix his bracket that broke off Saturday evening, go to work, pick up kids, go to piano lessons, grocery store, library.....Megan has fever by supper time.
Tue....Megan still has fever, so I get to stay home. Enjoy the day at home, but not seeing Megan sick
Wed....Megan still has fever. Stay home again. Decide to take her to clinic since she is now complaining of a sore throat. Early strep culture is negative. Count the hours until Don comes home, which would be easier to do if I actually knew what time he is coming home...just know it will be late.

Saturday

I should probably start with Friday....Megan had her first sleepover at Ava's house. (the boys had their first non-family member sleepover at the same home the night before Megan was born). I took her over after supper. We painted some pumpkins, and then I left. On the drive over, she kept telling me I didn't need to miss her because I would see her in the morning. She also told me she was so proud of me because I was driving safe. I think she had fun.
This morning Eric and set up shop at the Tesoro station to sell popcorn. We sold $360 worth. Then off to soccer. Then pick up Megan. Then Hobby Lobby. Then Lowes. Then McDonald's. Then nap. After supper we played a parents vs kids soccer game. The kids won. We didn't let them.
Tomorrow we have a scout meeting....excited for a 4 day weekend soon!

Megan's trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Today, Megan and I had a pinkie power trip to the pumpkin patch. She was happy. So was I.

Fun with the wheelbarrow

Who needs toys?

Megan

Megan always loves Fridays because that is the day Don picks her up from daycare. It's a big deal. Last Friday, she wanted to wear "lipstick" and a headband to look nice for Daddy.

Nature walk

I took advantage of a lazy stay home day yesterday to go for a walk with my camera along the Missouri River/Nature Trail in Mandan. I got there just at sunrise.

Fall?

This is what I have blooming in my backyard....an Easter Lily
I planted one last Spring after it had finished blooming. Didn't expect anything so soon!

Pumpkin Patch

The kids and I finally got our trip to the Pumpkin Patch last Thursday. It was a beautiful day. We happened to get there just moments after one of my friends and her 2 kids, so we spent our 2 hours there playing with them and catching up with each other. Jonathan had 2 benadryl prior to the trip-that seems to do the trick for him.
I'll likely take Megan there again this week to get some more pumpkin pictures. The boys only like running around the bale mazes....
