Long Course State Swim Meet

Eric qualified for state in 3 of the 4 events he competed in during the long course season: 50 and 100 Free, and the 50 Back.
the pictures don't load in order, and I'm not patient enough to rearrange them into the right order...

Finished in 11th place in his 50 Free, with a time of 28.87, a PR by 1.4 seconds. He was seeded 16th!

Eric and Riley (lanes 1 and 2) pre-50 Back, checking to see if Hunter ( lane 8)is ready. Eric was seeded 5th, and finished 6th, adding 0.81 sec to his entry time. He was a little bummed he didn't do better in this event after such a beast mode performance in the 100 Free an hour earlier.

Waiting for the final event of the meet-Mixed 400 IM relay. Eric swam the final leg-the 100 Free. He finished with his fastest time for this distance (even faster than his individual 100 Free a few hours earlier) in 01:05.48. They took 2nd in their division!

High 5's after his 50 Free, dropping 1.4 seconds and taking 11th Place

He cut 3.4 seconds in his 100 Free! BEAST mode! He placed 13th (was seeded 14th)

I wish Megan would have qualified, too! She missed by 2.4 seconds. I think if she had one or 2 more meets, she would have made the time cut. 2 of her relays had qualifying times, but you need to qualify in an individual event to swim at state. Short course is just 3 months away!

storms

Kota does not like storms.
She really does not like storms and fireworks at the same time.

Our new fence-not even a month old. Luckily, the panels easily snap/slide back into place, and we had it repaired within an hour

Hard to see, but a power line went down right behind our house. We were without power for ~4 hours. It went our before my coffee finished brewing, so I only had half a cup to start a busy day.
