Santa

The boys had their Christmas program at school Thursday evening. After the program, Santa arrived. The boys feel no need to sit on his lap anymore, but Megan was game. She asked for a pink firetruck.

The Best Day of Eric's Life

We opened our family gifts Friday night. After opening a certain gift, Eric proclaimed the day as the best day of his life.
Hmmmm, wonder what this could be...

No way, could it be? Is it?

Yes! It is!

My shutter speed was not quick enough to focus Eric running towards me to give me the biggest hug of my life

Christmas program

Today was the children's program at Church. As predicted, Megan stood still and emotionless during the pre-schoolers singing, and kept her head down the majority of the program. She was all smiles up until the actually singing began, then it was game off for her.
The pictures are a bit grainy since I cropped from a bigger picture.

Restaurant

Megan has moved on from playing school, and now wants to play restaurant. She is the chef (or cooker, as she calls it) and customer. I am the cooker, waitress, bus boy, and manager. She needs to wear her apron and her cooker hat. Her dollies also dine with her, but periodically she needs to leave with them because they are puking. For Friday nights meal, she ordered a latte for herself, chocolate milk for her children, and a Dt Coke for her husband.

Board games

Eric and Jonathan had to stand up without the cube falling off their head, without using their hands...good Cranium Family Edition fun. Both were successful

Boing boing boing boing boing boing....may the record show that Jonathan and Don cheated at this game while I went to the kitchen to check something....I still almost beat Jonathan's "record"...161 bounces in 30 seconds (Jonathan's cheating score was 162)

Eric prepping for Bop It Bounce

Cuponk...various methods of bouncing a ping pong ball into a cup. I think many people learn how to play this on the weekends in college...Jonathan had to roll the ball off his nose and have it bounce into the cup.

More CraniumFamily. The Boy Team had to transfer the cube 4 times without using their hands or mouth.

Eric doing his best to sculpt a taco. Everything Eric sculpts looks the same, so it's basically a random guessing game :-)

Jonathan drawing with his eyes closed....can't remember what it was.

Is there a better way to bond with children than by playing board games? We played several over the weekend, including new ones given to the boys by the Flemmers for Christmas (Bop It Bounce and Cuponk). All were entertaining.

Thanksgiving

I printed out cute little journal pages with Thanksgiving decor on them. My plan was to have the boys write the things they are thankful for, and scribe Megan's comments. Maybe this week we'll get it done.
The Christmas Tree is up. Jonathan and Megan did most of the decorating. Eric put the required ornaments up so I could get some pictures. After supper we all watched "Home Alone".
Hit another deer driving home from Minot Friday night. Almost exactly 5 years from the last time we hit a deer driving home from Minot. Almost is the same spot on Hwy 83...just a little south. The damage was all on the driver's side. The worst part is if you roll the driver's window down, it really doesn't roll back up....no coffee shop drive thrus for me....therefore Don and I will switch vehicles until it is all fixed. I'll need to have him take off the Bush Cheney bumper sticker from 2004, as I work in the school distict and will be tarred and feathered for being a conservative.
I'll post some pictures soon.
