Jonathan had pink eye yesterday, so he got to stay home with Megan and me. Poor Eric had to go to school all by himself. Meg and Jonathan passed some time bonding over Tom and Jerry.
One day last week, Megan did not get her way, which of course resulted in tears. She went to the counter, grabbed a Kleenex, and stated "I need to wipe my tears away". Good thing Grandpa wasn't here! I bought her a crocheted hat as an attempt to control the static, frizz, and craziness of her hair. She will only wear it for 3 seconds.
The kids had their Christmas Program at Church this morning. It was called "The Plane Truth About Christmas". The Little Angels were first to perform. Megan stayed on stage through all 4 songs w/o crying, and even jingled her bells a few times during the last song. The boys were up next. Jonathan swayed to the beat while singing. Eric did great, too. We upgraded to real ties this year.
The vicious and violent stomach bug that is running through daycare has hit our home. Apparently only one kid survived the day in the toddler room without throwing up. Megan technically was picked up before she got sick, but within the first half hour of being home it hit her.
We got snow! When we got home from school yesterday, Jonathan asked if he could shovel the driveway. After like, 2 whole seconds of thinking about it, I agreed he could. Once our driveway was done, the boys shoveled out 3 other driveways. They were told they could not ask for money. One neighbor showed their appreciation with a box full of candy, and 8 $1 bills.
