Canada Day 2

We started our day at the Assiniboine Zoo.  It was a bit of a challenge arriving there, as Siri, our sometimes trusted, sometimes frustrating navigator/GPS, lead us to the parking lot that was under construction at the entrance that was closed.  So....we had to back track a bit to find the right parking lot/entrance.
The big draw of the zoo was the Polar bear exhibit, which included just one polar bear named Hudson.
Megan took a few pics with my camera.

Megan was our official map navigator.
The zoo has a butterfly garden.  Megan was very excited to enter.  The boys were not.  They really did not want to go to the butterfly exhibit...it was 'girly'.....We were in there forever, and it was their favorite exhibit.

Next up was the red kanga/emu exhibit.  It was an open exhibit, where you entered the fenced area with the roos and emus.

We could have reached out and touched this emu.  It walked right by us.  It was really creepy looking.
Next up was the Nature Playground/Children's playground.

After the playground, we went back to the hotel to rest and then swim for a bit.  Next on our list was a Winnipeg Goldeyes game.  We sat in the cheap seats.

 Yummy.

We left after 7 innings (we were getting tired), but it was a fun game!  The Goldeyes won.
