Senators in Training
Today we were off of school and work. Since the legislature was still in session, we asked our district's Senator if the boys could sit on the floor with him and observe government in action. Senator Cook (who I also call Uncle Dwight) was happy to oblige. Both boys were very excited. Don described the whole 'how a bill becomes a law' (without needing to sing the School House Rock song). Dwight let them push the buttons for voting. It was a fun experience for them!

So, does a Senator actually have to be your uncle, or if you just randomly pick one to call uncle, will you get the same perks? lol

You probably can randomly call anyone Uncle, but you may get escorted out by security if you do....
Dwight is my Mom's youngest brother, so I am safe calling him Uncle
