Wild and Crazy

When people think about Don and Lisa, the first thing that comes to mind is spontaneous, fun loving, wild and crazy people who fly by the seat of their pants.
Early along our drive from Thermopolis, WY to Wall, SD, Don just threw out the idea that instead of driving home tomorrow, we see if we can stay at our hotel in Wall for an extra night, and just have a day to be lazy. Hmmmm, sounded good to me.
We are happy. They we were able to reserve the same room for Friday night. Tomorrow, we will be lazy in Wall, SD. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool and a hot tub, all which are in good working condition. There are several ice cream shops, I'm sure there are a few coffee shops, and there are many souvenier shops.
Aside from the craziness of our spontaneous, unplanned decision to stay an extra night, today was relatively uneventful. We had another scenic drive on our way from Thermopolis to Buffalo, WY. We found a nice picnic area for lunch. The kids enjoyed running around a bit. Shortly after our lunch, we came across some ranchers on a cattle drive, and had to wait for many, many, many cows to cross the road in front of us. We rolled down the windows. The mooing was a hoot for the kids to hear (and for us!). We made it to Mt Rushmore. The kids again were thrilled. We stayed for less than 15 minutes. I only took 5 pictures.
We are tuckered out! Jonathan is reading his Ranger's Apprentice book, Eric is reading his Incredible Hulk comic book to Megan. All 3 of our kids were happy today.
