"Major" leg injury

One of Eric's favorite outdoor pastimes is riding his bike. As you are aware, we live at the highpoint of the street. This can pose challenges to speed control in either direction. Today, Megan and I were 3 or 4 houses down with her trike, when I heard the sound of Eric quickly approaching. I managed to jump out of the way to avoid being crashed into. Megan was not so lucky. I had 2 kids and 2 bikes sprawled on the sidewalk. Only one child cried. It wasn't the toddler. Jonathan came to help get Eric's bike back. If I knew how to run the video on my camera, I would have taken video of Eric's pathetic limp back to our house. I put an ice pack on it, and all was well (eventually). I hindsight, I maybe should have done more to protect Megan from the oncoming runaway bike, instead of selfishly jumping out of the way.....she was 15' in front of me, so there probably wasn't much I could have done.
