Last Day

Another fun and successful year of school. Eric and I were so excited! Bring on Summer vacation. Jonathan, well....he is not as excited. The poor kid wept quite a bit once we were all safely buckled in the van after school on Thursday. Turns out he thinks school is the best, and will miss his friends and teachers so much. According to him, 2nd grade was the best year of his life.
Eric was awarded a Fitness Award for the year. Jonathan was the top AR (Accelerated Reader) for the class, and 4th overall for the 2nd grade. We wonder what 3rd grade will have in store for us!

Stress

Fracture. Dang. Bummed. No running for 6-8 weeks. No Deadwood half marathon. No summer 5 and/or 10Ks. No unlimited ice cream rewards for running for 2 hours.

Fargo Marathon

Today was the half marathon. I finished in 2:37:16 (my chip time). Always good to be done with it! I beat my Kroll's time by ~8 min. I did a lot of walking the last 3 miles-It is more important for me to enjoy the race than to have a great time. I walked the 5K w/Mom last night. Amy and Whitey did that as well. I feel great-just have very sore feet. Quads and hamstrings feel fine, though.
I will post pics when my friends get them to me!

LaFleur Gathering

We had a nice time at our house after Wendy's funeral. We finally got to meet our niece/cousin Piper. She and Megan made an enormous batch of dandelien soup. We don't recommend it. The boys all had fun playing.

Hunter is doing well. Each day seems better for him. Don and I are exhausted. It is good.

Piano Recital

The boys had their piano recital last Saturday. The teacher requested no flash photography, so despite the power of my Nikkor 55-200 VR lens, the 'action' pics were blurry, as the lighting of Meeting Room A of the Bismarck Library is not the best for flash free photography.

The Garden

Megan has enjoyed digging for worms in the garden. Once she collects them, she takes them to my compost bin. Hours of entertainment for her.
