Getting Fit

The boys had a Den meeting today.  They learned all about fitness.  The parent that led today's meeting is a personal trainer at the Women's Health Center in Bismarck.  She led the boys through some circuit training and relay games.  They were all tuckered out by the end! Eric is working on his physique so a female classmate will notice his muscles at recess, so this is just what he needed.

Megan's birthday party

Megan had her first 'friends' birthday party on Sunday afternoon.  4 girls were invited, and all 4 were able to attend, plus one older sister of a guest.  The girls played in Megan's room for a bit, then we had a Just Dance Kids 2 dance off, followed by cupcakes, gifts, and a fun round of "Pretty Pretty Princess".  2 hours....no temper tantrums.  Megan got lots of fun gifts, all very girly, of course.

LaFleur Christmas

Don's parents and brother travelled to Mandan today for a late Christmas celebration.  Plan A was to meet at the Golden Corral for lunch, but that is closed for renovations, so we hopped across the parking lot to Olive Garden.  Yummy.  Courtney joined us once we got back to our house.  Megan and Brooklyn had a fun time playing together-they haven't seen each other since last January.  Grandma gave me some new Gooseberry Patch cookbooks that I will enjoy using.  The boys got a video game called Skylander.....we won't see them for awhile!  It was a good day.

Jonathan may have 'tied' Grandma's height, and Eric is not far behind.  Grandma is standing really tall in this picture!  The boys will soon meet their goal of being taller than Grandma.

The Birthday

Megan had a great birthday.  She got her feathers.  Kristin had her favorite colors-pink, purple, and yellow.  She got her Cindrella Barbie Doll, so it was the best birthday ever by her account.  We measured her on her growth chart from Aunt Amy.  She has grown nearly 3" since her last birthday.
