I printed out cute little journal pages with Thanksgiving decor on them. My plan was to have the boys write the things they are thankful for, and scribe Megan's comments. Maybe this week we'll get it done.
The Christmas Tree is up. Jonathan and Megan did most of the decorating. Eric put the required ornaments up so I could get some pictures. After supper we all watched "Home Alone".
Hit another deer driving home from Minot Friday night. Almost exactly 5 years from the last time we hit a deer driving home from Minot. Almost is the same spot on Hwy 83...just a little south. The damage was all on the driver's side. The worst part is if you roll the driver's window down, it really doesn't roll back up....no coffee shop drive thrus for me....therefore Don and I will switch vehicles until it is all fixed. I'll need to have him take off the Bush Cheney bumper sticker from 2004, as I work in the school distict and will be tarred and feathered for being a conservative.
I'll post some pictures soon.

What we have been up to
This has been a long week....5 whole entire days of school and work for Mom and the kids. No days off. We are doing our best.
Yesterday on the way to school, Eric was happy to hear it was Wednesday, as it is the first day of the week that we have nothing to do after school. Friday is of course better than Wednseday because he gets to stay up late, play video games, and sleep in Mom and Dad's bed. He then said that November is his favorite month because we have so many days off of school, giving him more time to play and stuff. I love 8 year old perspective on things.
The downside of selling $1500 worth of Scout popcorn is you have to pass out $1500 worth of popcorn. We try to do a little each day.
The Raingutter Regatta is tonight. The boys practiced "sailing" their boats. Each will earn belt loops for bowling, video games, and astronomy, and pins for soccer and video games.

Things from October
I turned the calendar to November yesterday. It is blank for 2 weeks. October was not like that. Scouts is in full swing, both boys sold enough popcorn to be honored during half time of a Dakota Wizards basketball game in December. Soccer is done.
Eric actually helped carve pumpkins this year. He tolerated Halloween much better this year.
Jonathan was kind enough to pick out an easy pattern. He carved for a bit before passing the pumpkin saw on to me
Megan helped make a Princess Pumpkin Head
The kids with some good buds from Des Moines. We met for fun in Park Rapids. The kids played for 2 days with not a single argument.
