Cub Scouts
We had our first Pack meeting tonight for Scouts. Look how handsome my boys are in their uniforms! Eric practically ran up to get his pinewood derby car when they called his name. They are in Pack 153, which is the largest cub pack in Bismarck-Mandan. The big focus of the meeting was the kickoff to popcorn sales, which starts Oct 1. They had nearly $18,000 in popcorn sales last year. The goal this year is $20,000. You all know what I am getting at, right? Who wants popcorn?

Night Owl
One of Megan's "Eric" qualities is her tendancy to not fall asleep easily at bedtime. Last night was a prime example. At 10:30, she came bouncing out of her bedroom saying the now famous "I all done sleeping". I sent her downstairs to play. At 11, I tucked her back in, and went to bed myself. For the next hour, I could hear her coming in and out of her room, moving between her bedroom and downstairs. Shortly after midnight, I heard a clunking type noise at the foot of our bed. There was Megan, wearing her ruby red high heels (that are too big for her) and a pink floppy hat that she had found in her closet.
I would have taken a picture, but I was too tired to get my camera. Maybe we will recreate the scene today.

2-0, not that we are keeping track
The boys' Blue team took on the Red team today. The boys were a bit nervous, as they were facing their coach from last year. It was a pretty intense game for the first 2/3 of it, before Team Blue became unstoppable. The intensity of competition was beginning to show on the sidelines with the parents, as well. Jonathan scored 2 goals today. I tried to find some pictures where his tongue wasn't sticking out, but of the 135 pictures snapped today, I could not find any....

The Happiest Day of the Year

Bend it Like Beckham
The boys had their first soccer game this morning. They played the green team, and if score was kept, which it isn't, I would be able to report that the blue team mopped the floor with the green team. Since score isn't kept, I will report that all the kids had a great time. Eric scored 4 goals, and was so excited about that! So were his parents and his brother, who was quick to run to Eric after his second goal to give him a sports-like hug.
